Will not support the billionaire baby, but annoyingly I can kinda get onboard with the direction of “Twitter 2.0”
How do I get replies to posts on mastodon to show up as replies on blog posts?
Bridgy doesn’t seem to work any more and just messes up the post on micro.blog.
This may just be my tiredness talking but social media as a whole is starting to feel a bit pointless. The interaction and enjoyment I get is decreasing fast, and I suspect it is because others are feeling the same.

I was just looking back at some gr36.com archives and found my very first Wordpress blog. I kind of still dig it.
A very quick visit to Nottingham Christmas market. It was really busy and far too stressful punching a wheelchair around
I absolutely love the filters on Mastodon. I haven’t needed to use them much, but they actually mute the words properly. When compared to other services this is a breath of fresh air, I can really curate my feed to be what I want to see.
Well I know what I’m going to be playing this weekend 🎮
Looks like I was mistaken by thinking I would be doing nothing all day. Nice walk with the dog in the sun.
Now for an hour on the cross trainer.
Today is a day of doing absolutely nothing, and I’m delighted.

Working on a few updates to my micro.blog theme over the last few days. Still a little more to do for mobile view, but overall I’m pretty happy.
I’ve been working on a new micro.blog for a few days, and I just accidentally clicked the refresh button right next to new template.
All my work gone! I’m so mad right now.
Mastodon is great and everything but this stupidness on Twitter has made me really think about posting online at all.
I simply don’t have the motivation to share the things I used to and perhaps that’s a good thing?
Bit frosty out 🥶
If I want to follow some micro.blog accounts using the mastodon app how do I find their compatible usernames easily?
Some random flowers that came out quite well.

All no problem and only 12% battery used. Thanks Apple Watch Ultra.
I dont think it’s the time for mass abondonment of Twitter just yet, but I can see where it’s going already with the Meme lord in charge.
It’s definitely a time to think about where you want to post and what you want to do online.
And just like that I’m back on the beta train 🚂

I’m been reminded of one of the most painful posts have written in my life but also one of the most cathartic.
Still painful to read because I remember the emotions, but I am happy that I can now face them.
Sold my Series 7 today so I’m all in on the Apple Watch Ultra. So I think it’s time for some words, a review of sorts.
Need to do this for a bit. Getting fed up with the time wasting I do and the way it makes me feel afterwards.
I have no idea why, but I’ve decided to bring my Buy Me A Coffee page up to scratch.
If you like my stuff, buy me a cup of joe I guess. ❤️
Ok Apple Watch Ultra. You win.
For those interested this is with three hour long workouts and quite a bit of time on cellular each day.
Saw random graffiti the other day that said:

And I feel like that’s a life lesson.
We had a very relaxing day today. Mainly because the weather was really rubbish but Lucie had a big seizure and wasn’t herself for most of the afternoon.
Very weird being able to walk the dog in a tee shirt whilst surrounded by fallen leaves but enjoyable.
I love this time of year.

I geniuinly need help with using Day One. I’ve had it for years but what do I write that is not repetitive naval-gazing.
Should I set up prompts or are there any tips to get me going?
No idea why but I’ve fallen back in love again with Shortcuts and have built loads of them over the last few days to automate hyper specific tasks.
Technology is wonderful, when it works.
Not sure when it happened but it would appear Bridgy doesn’t work with micro.blog any longer? the few replies I just tested removed all the conversation from the post and duplicated it numerous times. @manton
As I get older, my answer to more and more things is “I don’t know”. What is short for, I’m not interested enough to think about it.
I shrug my way through the day in blissful ignorance of most things that might have otherwise occupied my brain, and it’s fantastic.

The “what aboutness” of Twitter absolutely kills me.
Editing some old ‘non keepers’ to see what I find.
This year is the first year I haven’t done an iPhone review (or several) and I’ve got the itch to do a small one. Mainly to take the product shots… so I might just do that 😂
I wish I was this happy
I went around and tried all the ai copy writing bots do you don’t have to.
In a surprise to absolutely no one. They all suck.
On reflection, I would have to conclude that the ethics of early Buddhism do not offer blanket solutions to all the complex predicaments of the human situation. Perhaps that was never their intention—perhaps their intention was to issue guidelines rather than proclaim moral absolutes, to posit ideals even for those who cannot perfectly fulfill them. Nevertheless, the complexity of the human condition inevitably confronts us with circumstances in which moral obligations run at crosscurrents.
Annoyingly. After a bit of curation I’ve found instagram Reels to be a good resource for a wide range of things.

The fact that people seem to think the Apple Watch Ultra is a replacement for the old Edition range topper rather than a version to use in pretty specific circumstances is strange.
I understand the upload limit for podcast on micro.blog is 45mb.
What is the longest recording this could be whilst still sounding good.

There’s a lot to gain for Apple producing a non-pro ‘max’ size iPhone 14
Outside of the cost element, the biggest issue with the Pro version for me is the weight.
iPhone 13 = 173g iPhone 13 Pro = 203g
In contrast, iPhone 6 was 129g and the iPhone 5 was 113g.

I love Matter and everything, but it really has to get better at recomendations. I am so sick of American politics and old posts.
The fact I can now export reading notes in Matter into Apple Notes and really round off my note taking system is brilliant
After seeing a few posts about it. Here’s how I post to micro.blog including an image upload shortcut.
Hope this helps people.

There was some great light when we were shopping in Nottingham this morning. It’s a shame I couldn’t hang around a bit longer and roam around with my camera.
I am tempted to just move to one blog rather than splitting things between micro.gregmorris.co.uk and gregmorris.co.uk. Seems redundant having both.
